He is the host because he is the first emperor of the Song Dynasty and responsible for the supporting many Song Dynasty accomplishments.

Chancellor Fan Zhongyan

- Lived (989–1052)

- Attempted to make such reforms as improving the recruitment system of officials

-Increased the salaries for minor officials

- Began programs to allow a wider range of people to be well educated and eligible for state service.

He is invited because of the impact his reforms had on the government of china.

Li Qingzhao

-Exceptional female writer and poet

She is invited because of the interesting literature she can bring for the show and tell portion. I also did not want empress Wu to be the only female.

She is invited because she was the first and only female empress.

Li Bai

-One of China’s most famous poets.

- Lived during the Tang Dynasty, also known as China’s Golden Age of Poetry.

He is invited because I did not want Li Qingzhoa to be the only writer/poet.

Emperor Taizong

Ruled 629-649

-Co-founder of the Tang Dynasty

-Made peace with the Turks

-Made new legal code

He is invited because I wanted to have another guest who worked for positive political reform. He was also invited because the host Emperor Taizu of Song likes drama and knows that Empress Wu was once Emperor’s Taizong’s concubine.
